Task 2: What are social media tools?

In this post you must list and briefly describe (in your own words) five different types of social-media tools and applications.  Provide links to each of the homepages of the social media described.

Social media platforms and applications:-

1. Facebook - social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues.

2. Instagram - online photo sharing app that lets you share pictures and messages with friends using a mobile phone.

3. Twitter - online news and social networking site where people communicate in short messages of 280 characters, called tweets.

4. WhatsApp - an instant messaging app that allows multimedia sharing, including photos, videos, audio and documents, you can create groups and connect with a number of people at once. It also has free live video calling to members of your group.

5. Snapchat - mobile messaging service that sends a photo or video to someone that lasts only up to 10 seconds before it disappears.

Changing the look of my blog

Task 8: Changing the look of my blog The colours on your blog can be changed. Click on the template tab on the left-hand side. Choose a template and then click on Customise. Here you can experiment with different backgrounds or themes. Make sure you click "Apply to blog". Write a new post and write a comment about your new colours. You may have already made these kinds of changes to your blog – you don’t need to change them again. Briefly describe what you have done. I changed the background picture, changed the font type to ' syncopate' and the font colours.
